SAFETY ON YOUR ATV RENTAL
Lets go over a few things to always keep in mind when jumping aboard your ATV rental. ATVs are a very heavy machines and if you are not careful when operating them they can cause serious harm to your body! Always be aware of your surroundings when operating all ATV rentals from Mile High Adventure Rentals! Make sure no friends are family are standing around your machine while you are in motion. Always remember these 4 wheelers can be very tippy on the right terrain. Use caution when on this terrain or don't travel on it if you have the option. Roll overs can be very harmful and even result in death to the rider so we like to preach safe riding!
When riding off-road vehicles on the trails here in Colorado and surrounding states you should always keep in mind that there are certain hand signals that may contribute to your safety as well as others. This step towards safety on the trail is a very simple hand gesture consisting of different numbers held up to oncoming riders indicating how many riders follow you. Say you are the leader of your group and one rider is following you as you meet an oncoming ATV rider. In this case you would hold up one finger warning them of the ATV rental following, while the following renter will hold up a closed fist. The closed fist indicates that you are the last person in your group.
Colorado's weather is always changing. Although the weather may be great when you pick up your ATV rentals, it can change very quickly as you travel through the mountains. Just the change in elevation from when you pick up your ATV to when you get to the trail head usually at about 9000' can be a big temperature swing. So always pack accordingly. We like to recommend having an outfit for all kinds of weather. Always remember that you may get muddy out on the ATV trails so don't wear your favorite outfit unless you are certain you can get it clean!
