Colorado Snowmobiling Safety Tips
Here at Mile High Adventure Rentals we love to preach safety to all of our customers. Going into the backcountry on any of our snowmobile or snow bike rentals can be very dangerous at times. We love to see all of our rental machines and especially you the customers come back in one piece! We provide helmets with all rentals but we do not provide the proper training you should obtain before tackling the backcountry.
We always recommend that our customers are aware of the avalanche danger in the area they choose to ride and that they are equipped with the right gear. When traveling into the backcountry on a snowmobile rental one should always plan on carrying a beacon, shovel, and probe at minimum. All of these must have items are available for rent as well as avalanche deploying bags.
The beacon is used to rescue a fellow rider if they happen to get caught in an avalanche. A probe is used to poke down into the snow once you find their approximate location and find them. I think we all understand what the shovel is for, dig your riding buddy out!!!! Avalanche bags although not mandatory can be very handy when caught in an avalanche. They contain a CO2 canister that fills up a giant bag on your back when you pull the cord. This helps to keep you on top of the snow as you are takin down the mountain.
One last thing to always remember when entering into the back country on a snowmobile rental in Colorado is that you should never and we mean never go alone! Accidents do happen and it is always better to have someone there to save you if things go wrong!

SNOWMOBILE MAINTENANCE
We take pride in providing the best snowmobile rentals in Colorado. In our process to achieve this we treat our rental machines as if they are our own. After every trip our snowmobiles go on they are cleaned as well as carefully gone over for any damage or defective parts. We clean all snowmobile rentals to look as if they are new for every renters upcoming adventure. With years of experience our team has seen multiple issues that can come up with snowmobiles and that is why we take preventative measures to keep them running strong. If any one of our snowmobiles are acting up we take all measures to get them back up and ready to go so we do not inconvenience our customers on their vacation. As well as taking very good care of our snowmobile rental machines we also like to upgrade most of them after a season or a certain amount of miles. We do this so that our renters can experience snowmobiling on some of the best machines on the market every season.
